Measuring Guide
How to Take Your Measurements Correctly
1
Wear an unpadded bra
For the most accurate result, measure wearing your best-fitting non-padded bra — or measure without one entirely.
2
Use a soft tape measure
Keep the tape level and parallel to the floor. It should sit flat against your body — firm but not tight.
3
Record in centimetres
European lingerie uses centimetres. Jot each measurement down carefully before entering it into the calculator.
4
Measure 2–3 times
A couple of repeat measurements make all the difference. Take each one two or three times and use the average for the best result.

Expert Tips
How to Know Your Lingerie Fits Properly
The band does 80% of the work
Your bra band should be firm and level on the loosest hook when new, so you can tighten it as the fabric stretches over time. If you need the tightest hook straight away, size down on the band.
Cups should be smooth, not strained
No spillage, no gaps. The underwire should sit flat against your ribcage — never on breast tissue. A well-fitted cup fully encases your bust without digging in or puckering.
Sister sizes are your secret weapon
If your 34C feels too tight in the band, try a 36B — same cup volume, wider band. Going up a band size means going down a cup size. This little-known trick can transform your fit without changing your look.
Brand-Specific Sizing
Each European brand has its own cut and fit characteristics. For a truly precise fit, always refer to the individual size guide in each product description.
Knowing your exact lingerie size is essential for comfort, support, and everyday confidence. At Secretelles, we understand that European lingerie sizing differs from UK and US standards — which is why we've built this interactive bra size calculator and comprehensive lingerie size guide to take the guesswork out of buying online.
Our interactive calculator instantly converts your measurements into EU, UK and US sizes. Whether you're shopping for a push-up bra, lace knickers or a luxury chemise, knowing your size is the single biggest factor in getting lingerie that looks and feels right.
Use this guide as your starting point, then check the individual brand size charts in each product listing for the most precise fit possible.
